[Betsileo, Sakalava] . Nom relevé par Grandidier qui en fait une « espèce de calebasse ». C'était, en effet, anciennement la courge-calebasse : Lagenaria siceraria (Molina) Standl. (Cucurbitaceae). De nos jours ce nom s'applique plutôt à la courge ordinaire : Cucurbita maxima Duchesne (Cucurbitaceae). Cultivée et parfois subspontanée. On écrit plus rarement taboary. [1.196] | ||
